Last time I read this thread, I wanted to make some joke about the "too" you used Luva. Now I can say Viljo is the one who actually used the word right.
And shut up! You cannot deny the awesome awesomeness of the word awesome!
You should thank her,... would have been the corniest joke of all jokes, miss lady
To stay on topic, girl gamers are usually fugly.
Wow, not too often I'm insulted online. Normally when that happens I respond with a nice kick, or throw whichever object I currently have in my hand. I guess it just goes to show most people prefer to insult others online because they know nothing bad can really happen. I agree that while you don't see many 'gamer chicks' or anything, just because a girl happens to be a heavy gamer doesn't mean she's 'fugly.' That usually best describes the person using the word in the first place in order to compensate how he feels about himself, or sometimes how other people see him by trying to demean someone else. Just a thought. I could add more, but I don't really wanna get in any deeper than I already probably have. Back ON topic, I did hear that DMC2 was the worst of the four, but I'm eager to learn what the storyline is. I read that at the end, Dante is trapped in the demon world, and since DMC3 is in prequel format, you don't get the question answered til DMC4. I really wanted to play the storyline chronologically, so I won't play the second until I play the first, and I won't play the fourth until I have a PS3... Which, coincidently, gives me plenty of time to play and beat numbers 1 and 2. ;D

Cause it was directed to no one, stop being sensitive ms. fugly.

I just think its nice to know that people always assume things like that, as if people who, for once, don't fit the sterotype, just don't exist. Like me if I'd say, usually male gamers can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy.
Just saying there are exceptions to just about everything, so if you're gonna start shouting assumptions out, take it somewhere where it applies, like the debate board or something. The fact that I'm a girl gamer came out 'cause Devil May Cry came up, and it's not the kinda game most girls would readily play. It has nothing to do with how you look or anything, I play DDR and Spyro just as much as DMC and Prince of Persia.
So stop getting off topic. That's all I'm gonna say.

I take a mild offense to that statement; "girl gamers are usually fugly". Not that I believe it applies to me or anything though.
But let's not dwell on this topic, at all.
My brother tried out DMC 1 I think, coulda been 2...might have been in fact since there was some blond woman in the beginning trying to kill Dante. Anyway it was ass loads of hard.

That's what my friend at work told me. He had played the first one but didn't like it too much. It was him I asked if he still had it so I could borrow it, but he said he rented it before.
Oh yea, and when I went to Blockbuster, I ended up coming out with Soul Calibur III. Is it just me or is that a lame game? Maybe it's just 'cause I'm not into the combat-style games. I like a challenge in solving puzzles and the fact that most of my games have levels I can move around in and explore. Soul Calibur III just didn't do it for me, but I heard it was supposed to be a great game.

I'll recommend bomberman live in the xbox market place. (<<on topic)

Shaddup about the fugly girl gamer thing already!
And I loved Soul Calibur 3. It was a beautiful game, and...well Soul Calibur for that matter lol. The only thing it was missing was Link.
If you aren't exactly the Soul Calibur-esque type gamer, what d'you buy it for?

If you aren't exactly the Soul Calibur-esque type gamer, what d'you buy it for?
I didn't buy it, I rented it, and since I had never played Soul Calibur, I wasn't exactly sure what it was about. I had never played a demo of it, or seen it being played. (And I don't think I'm ever gonna rent another game again. It's stupid to pay $10 for a game for a week, when I can borrow unlimited books for free at the library for 2 weeks.) It's just that I like a game with more of a plot or roleplay, and that challenges my puzzle-solving skills more than just plain hand-to-hand combat. It was beautifully rendered though, and I did love the character creation. Graphic-wise, I loved it, play-wise, wasn't my favorite. I know the traps and puzzles in Prince of Persia took me a while to figure out at first, especially the level with the sinking pillars that you had to jump from one to the other in a certain pattern to move on. That's the kind of stuff I like, but the battles aren't bad either unless they regenerate, like in Prince. In that game, you have to be really careful when you fight the Sand Guards, because if they see you, they call reinforcements, and they never quit coming until you die or restart from your last save.

i'm a little late to this argument but i've known many female games and i wouldn't classify none of them as ugly. some of them are downright hot. besides why make a big deal out of a girl that enjoys video games? it's a great entertainment medium regardless of gender.
