True and I agree about the 16year old week long love relationship thing. Frankly, I don't think you can truly love someone until you have known them for at least a year. Or maybe even like...7, 8 months or something.
In other words, a reasonably long time for you to get to know the person, get to know how they react to things, and most importantly, get over the initial infatuation stage where you believe your partner is perfect and everything is seen through rose-tinted glasses. [/b][/quote] i think the only way to truly know you love somebody, is to go through hardships with them. its going through pain and fights with someone that makes your bond stronger, not stupid things. and if you can survive major fights, then you were meant to be, than its truly love

I don't define it, I don't believe anyone can define it. It's the one thing that doesn't go hand-in-hand with anything else. It can be random, unpredictable, uncontrollable. It's a feeling that can only be describe through actions, for there is no word for it. There is this term "love", but the feeling is so much more than anything that come out of a person's mouth. Do you believe in love at first sight or is it just lust? Not necessarily first sight, but at first meeting, I do. There is a girl that at first meeting her (talking to her), I was in shock, she was amazing, I was hooked on her, like a fish with a death wish, I let her reel me in. I had seen her before, and I was sorta like "whoa" when I first saw her. It wasn't exactly her appearance, idk, something about her made me interested in wanting to know her, rather than the usual response when a guy looks at a girl and notices the physical attributes, instead, I was looking into her eyes, and I've never had a girl give me that feeling before. And this wasn't lust, it was something much deeper (possibly love), because that feeling never went away, to this day it's still there, even though she isn't. Can kids feel love (the relationship kind)? Kids referring to 16 and under. This is also tough, If I say no, then I didn't really love the girl I mentioned above, but I'd also be wrong, because my actions would prove I did love her. I'm gonna say yes. I don't believe love is age restricted. Even though at some young ages, we don't understand why we do some of the things we do, I believe a kid can fall in love. Like I said, you can't prove love through anything other than actions. "I love you" doesn't actually mean you love someone, because a lot of people say a lot of things that they aren't exactly prepared to act on. It's not their fault though, because we all want what we want

Quite possibly, what you felt was infatuation, which is not love but one of the steps towards getting to that point. [/b] Can kids feel love (the relationship kind)? Kids referring to 16 and under. "I love you" doesn't actually mean you love someone, because a lot of people say a lot of things that they aren't exactly prepared to act on. It's not their fault though, because we all want what we want I believe that you have to have a certain maturity and experience in the world to truly be able to "love" someone. That being said, it's hard to believe that a child, someone as young as 15, or 14 or something would be capable of loving someone. At that age, maturity is generally not that high.
Yes I know there are extremely (overly so sometimes >_> ) mature 14 year olds, I happen to know one. But even so, 14 is very young to be thinking you're in love, or even seeking love. Love is much too complicated to be dealt with when you're still a kid. [/b]

I'm not sure about that. Sometimes love is the only thing a person is sure of, no matter what age it is. A lot of adults underestimate how capable young adults and children are/can be. If we really wanted to, it could be the youth controlling the white house, rather than a bunch of senior citizens.
I really can't put a age limit on love, I don't even you have to be mature to be in love or genially love someone else. As I said before, love may the one thing that doesn't have to be linked or correspond to anything else, it's in a league of it's own.

As I said before, love may the one thing that doesn't have to be linked or correspond to anything else, it's in a league of it's own. Well I don't feel the same way. Simply because I hear of lots of little teenies saying they looooooooove their boyfriend, when really it's just a fake and extreme infatuation.
I mean an immature person wouldn't think to make sacrifices for their partner would they? Love is full lots and lots of sacrifices, hearteache, pain of the emotional variety, etc. Love is eternal, love is strong, love is invincible. It takes a good deal of maturity to understand those concepts and follow them.
I don't even believe I'm ready for what is "true love" and I'm gonna be 19 in September. Maybe what younger people feel is a lower tier of love, not quite the real true love. In that case, then sure, everyone can experience it. But it's like a cheap imitation for those who are looking for the real stuff. [/b]

It helps to have experience in the department with matters of the heart. It's hard to tell if something is love when you haven't experienced the fake stuff before; the stuff that feels like love but really isn't. And vice versa. [/b]
