There are many various ways that make you happy. Love is only one. It isn't a must, but it helps, I suppose.

Well, there are obviously many ways to be happy. Love is one of them, but only if you love someone that loves you back. If they don't, or you're not sure, it's torture.

call me shallow or wateva but all i need is a whole heeping lot of video games, a super computer, u kno material stuff.............yea shallow..............oh and really fun friends who are up for wateva and aren't afraid to take risks.

I agree. There are tons of ways a person can be happy. Love can definitely make someone happy if it's a mutual relationship, where the two people sharing this special thing benefits from it. If it's not, then love can hurt you. It's really complicated..
