So in the Devil May Cry timeline, DMC3 comes first, with 1, 2, and 4 following. I played them in that order, so when I beat DMC3 I craved more.
I FINALLY FOUND DEVIL MAY CRY! Without having to go on ebay!
So now, after buying Devil May Cry this past Tuesday I'm playing it and I'm in Mission 18 or 19.
It rocks, but in my opinion it's not as good as DMC3. DMC3 has great graphics and a good story. DMC has a great story, and the graphics aren't too bad, but the controls are completely different.
Anyways. If anyone's played DMC tell me about it. How many missions are there? In the third one there were 20 missions, but I'm already up to 18 and the game's nowhere near done.
Oh yea, do I get to beat the crap out of Trish? She's annoying..

it's been so long sense i've played DMC 1 i don't remember how many missions there were i don't think more then 30. but i really don't know anymore. and no you don't get to smack Trish around. unfortunately DMC2 is horrible but 4 is out standing just as a side comment.

Yea, I agree with you guys. The gameplay's amazing, and there are 23 missions. I beat it about a week after I got it, and loved it, but I still don't think it's quite up to par with DMC3. Mission 21 and 22 were like a continuous fight with Mundus. it's been so long sense i've played DMC 1 i don't remember how many missions there were i don't think more then 30. but i really don't know anymore. and no you don't get to smack Trish around. unfortunately DMC2 is horrible but 4 is out standing just as a side comment. I found DMC2 and got it, but you're right DMC2 is bad. The controls are a lot closer to the third one, but the story sucks and the fighting's worse. They don't even say anything about how he got Rebellion. He has Rebellion in the third one, then he gets Force Edge at the end, uses it in the first one, then he's back to Rebellion! I got bored with it in Mission 4, and haven't played it in a few days.

DMC4 is alot better then 1 & 2 but i haven't played 3 so i don't know how it compares to that one. the new kid you play in 4 Nero kicks ass. after playing him Dante feels slow.

my pride makes me finish everything i start. i may be a little obsessive compulsive about that i don't know. not really sure if that's a good or bad thing.

I've gotta say I'm really into the 4th game.
When I was fighting the toad, I could have sworn I heard familiar background music at some point. Sounded like something I've heard in DDR.

the entire second half of the game is a let down. not only is Dante not as fun to play as Nero, but as Dante you do everything you did in the first half in reverse order. you even fight all the same bosses in reverse order. the vary last bit gets good again though.
