This is a false paradox, made up by semantics which could only give reason to humans and how we interpret the chain of causation.

well if you beleive in god(catholic) then he made all animals making the chicken come first and if u believe in evolution then as time went by, the animal which became a chicken was a bird of some sort, so the animal came first so the chicken... because bacteria don't lay eggs and yeah...

Not necessarily. Dinosaurs laid eggs too, and so did quite a few of the underwater animals we evolved from.

I don't know if I said this yet, but the egg came first. Turtles millions of years ago were the first animals to lay eggs... Long before chickens even came into existance.
The egg wins.
