Well, it's a proven bit o' fact that the most important part of newsprint is in the first couple 'o praragraphs.
By which I mean that you can get away with reading the first few sentences and knowing the basic gist of the whole story...

I've heard it's that way with a book.
One o' my high school teachers told me that if the first sentence in that book you've just picked up catches you right there, then it's worth checking out.
