we're already seeing alot of this. RPG elements are more and more common. there's also games like Mass Effect that's a RPG but it has squad based shooter combat and Borderlands that realises later this year that it trying to combine shooter game play with the obsession of an RPG like Diablo. i could probably come up with many more examples but i haven't had any sleep in... what day is it? whatever doesn't matter my point is this is already happening.

I like RPG elements in games, but at the same time, it gets tedious when you have to spend hours leveling up.[/b]

And the hours leveling up... FUCK THAT I get so frustrated with that, I'll just go head with the storyline at some half-assed level.
