Sorry if the small font hurts anyone's eyes, I just like smaller fonts. But hey, the pink formatting doesn't make sense to me, though. Anyway, I'm Tasia (pronounced "Tasha" to those of you who believe "Anastasia" is pronounced the Disney way instead of "Anna - stas -ha" like they used to before that stupid movie. I have a thing against Fox when paired up with Disney), and I tend to stay neutral on the Miley & Mandy vrs. Demi & Selena debate, in which my friends (well, mostly me) coined the term for me "Little Ms. Neutral". I know I misspelled it. But, oh God, I was thinking about all the HOMEWORK I have for school.
Yeah, I should be working on it instead, but I decided to spend as much time as possible online before ANOTHER feature of the oh-so-handy (note sarcasm) parental block kicks in: being forced offline at nine-thirty. As if that's enough time to do all the homework I have. Dad obviously just doesn't get it. Anyway, since I like to stay neutral with Miley & Mandy vs. Demi & Selena, my favorite actress and singer of the moment is Meghan Jette Martin. She's been in plays, working a debut album, on the Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and played Tess Tyler in Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers (I'm so jealous). Anyway, when I say that, people usually wonder who she is. That's the great thing about her, since not much is known about her right now, no one can mock me for my choice in idols.
After all, one thing is for sure: she can stay out of the press if she choses to do so and not call attention to herself. Also, I tend to be opinionated when I feel like it. I will mention to people the downfalls of my idols, like Selena Gomez, while a great person, and I'm not saying anything bad about her, but she said that, and I quote (this is from an interview of her) "I do want to be the next Miley Cyrus. However, I won't make mistakes." Now is that really something that sounds like it's coming from someone who's real? And Miley Cyrus, I applaude her for owning up to her mistakes, unlike Selena Gomez, who didn't acknowledge that the pool party photos tainted her "good girl" status. Now, tell me, which one sounds better now?
As for Katy Perry, I have nothing against her, I like her music, save for that one song that, despite summer being over, stays at number one. And why can't they play other songs? I have strong opinions over music, and it ticks me off when people are too quick to judge celebrities. Paris Hilton could, in fact, be smarter than she lets on. She's really talented and if she actually applied herself, I'm certain she could actually go the distance, and launched her own mockary political ad at McCain when he made her feel inadequate. Paris has the kind of grace that any girl could want, the girl who's comfortable in her skin (I mean, it takes guts to show as much as she did there), and obviously a respectable person.
She did, in fact, also own up to her own mistakes. Now, I'm not saying that it's okay for someone to go and get drunk then drive, or should show everyone how comfortable they feel by making a sex tape. I'm just saying that you should see beyond what you assume, like what my biology teacher told us. Not to assume that it could be just one thing, but if you take a few steps back from your own point of view and saw someone else's as well, then you'd understand someone. Thanks for reading my ramble!
Peace out!
