Hm. What about pre-teen pregnancy? That's just irresponsible and dangerous... My cousin knew a girl who was pregnant in 7th grade. The girl got expelled, so I dunno what happened to her, but I'm not sure a 12-or-13-year-old could survive a pregnancy. I really hope she aborted. Yeah, it's not like little kids don't know. I mean, in so much literature and other stuff (TV, fanfics, etc.) kids are clueless. Exception: Part OnePart TwoPart ThreeI love that comic.

I don't think it's fair to say that teenage pregnancy on a whole is bad and all teenage girl taht gets pregnant is a whore. *not that any of u guys said so*
I know lot's of ppl who got pregnant as a teen (some of them were in my class) so of them lost their babies and they seems sad since they really cared about the life they were carrying. Some of them weren't stable as teens but they've really settled down and they have family who care enough about them to help them. They've really grown up. Looking back then from now I think I totally misjudge their potential, some of them have really turned into responsible adults and I'm proud of them.

@monkey Of Fire: Yeah, responsibility and maturity does count for a lot.
Imo, that and whether it's on purpose or not kinda decides whether it's good of bad... [offtopic] What's the negative and positive differences between those, anyways? You need them both. [/offtopic]

Why the hell am I seeing less and less adults/parents who don't take care of their children entirely?
In my opinion, I think those who have kids early are more worn down when in their 30's and such.

@skizz:: If there were, teens would be doubly irresponsible. The one's who DO buy condoms aren't going to mess around, they're gonna get the job DONE. brought them the kids. [glow=red,2,300] I'm merely saying is instead of saying "Don't have sex" reword it to "Make sure you use a condom." [/glow]Why the hell am I seeing less and less adults/parents who don't take care of their children entirely?
In my opinion, I think those who have kids early are more worn down when in their 30's and such. [glow=red,2,300] Being the child of parents who had kids early, I have to say that it is mostly the background of the parents that factor majorly into them raising their child.
If the parent's come from a background where their parents didn't raise them properly, then these people wouldn't have the knowledge to raise their child correctly.
A prime example of this would be parents who did drugs and during a "high" had sex without protection, and got the girl pregnant.
Sometimes this turns out to be reality giving the new parents an epiphany and they need to get their shit straight.
Other times not so much.
However, my case was this example.
Children from a stable background usually end up wanting to do something behind their parent's back. And one of those "things" is sex.
These people most of the time know enough about using protection and get hold of it.
Most of the time the protection works.
Sometimes the condom breaks in the back seat of a car. [/glow]

I forgot to bookmark this so I could reply. My bad. n_n;;
Anywho.
I'm constantly disappointed at the rate teenagers get pregnant and such. And coinciding with Fire, it's not just the teenage girls. Sometimes it's because they put out oo much, but that's not entirely the case. It could be the eager boyfriend who won't leave his girl along until he gets some. Or the guy who's just a sex addict, and does it with anything that has a pulse. There are so many possibilities and variables as to why teen pregnancy is abundant in our modern day society. That said, I still can't comprehend why the majority of people just can use their common sense. These things are taught early on scholarly life. Kids and teenagers alike have been told countless times about the reprecussions and responsibilities they have to take when engaging in sexual activities. But somehow, someway, they just don't get it. I can't understand why people just can't use their better judgment at least HALF of the time.
Conflabbdammit all. D<

I was gonna say that sex addicts aren't actually addicted to having sex...but I don't know enough on this topic and wasn't really paying attention in abnormal psych, so.... I'll just say I'm the complete opposite of a sex addict and have mo clue what I'm talking about.
They could also have an abortion or give the baby up for adoption, but their wonderful happy ending will never be like a Disney movie.
