Mmm....It's all about what Akira is. Damn controlling, manipulative son of a gun... She's a sexy son of a gun, but a son of a gun, nonetheless, in the anime, at least. xD

I recommend watching Gintama. It's funny and can be serious at seemingly random parts. There's some nice action scenes in it too. They have a buttload of Japanese culture jokes, which for a non-Japanese person would make no sense. The subs I've been watching have explanations for some of the jokes, but they still lose their funnyness cuz you don't directly understand them.
Either way, if you like action comedies, I highly recommend it.[/b]

^It reminds me of Bleach Please tell me it is far superior? Hahaha everyone says that! Even I did, which was why I was initially interested. It's funny though cuz it's NOTHING like Bleach at all. And superior...hmm...in what way? Gintama is mostly humor and not much action, but when there is action it's pretty good.[/b]

Then I might invest a bit in it when it comes out here
And I will NOT watch it on Adult Swim/Cartoon Network

Er I meant download. Watching anime online sucks in my opinion. I like to pause it and take snapshots (with VLC) and not have to be connected to the internet to watch them.[/b]

Getbackers is great, and I don't think I saw Hunter X Hunter on the list. Good anime/manga it is by the same mangaka who made YuYu Hakusho. The anime is done but the manga is on hiatus because he is having mental health issues I heard.
I definitely recommend reading Fullmetal Alchemist rather than watching it, or both. The manga is a different story from the anime and in my opinion it is a lot better.
Naruto Shipoden, not attempting to spell that right, is actually interesting and so much better than the earlier episodes/chapters.
And one of my favorites is Samurai Deeper Kyo.
If you want to watch/read any of these I can supply linkage.

GetBackers was an alright series. It could have been better, definitely (I'm not trying to put ya down or anything, I'm just stating my opinion). I love how close Ban and Ginji are, and I love their relationship. Even is the fangirls like writing slash involving the two, I just don't see them as a couple. However, I do read a slash of 'em from time-to-time that seems up to par.
I think I'm pretty much done with FMA. It was an okay series. Definitely overrated.
Unfortunately, the Naruto series has been burned into my brain and scared over with an aching loss. The manga was heaps better than the original anime, and I never intend to go any further with it. EVER.
SDK was another series that was alright. The manga was definitely better than the anime...
Yeesh- I used to like all this crap. Hahah!
Actually, I myself would recommend Gensoumaden Saiyuki (Or just Saiyuki in the US). The first series ('Coz I'd rather not see the second).

I've watched some eps of Saiyuki, though I'm not sure if they were the first or second season. I liked it a lot, even if it was dubbed. I been meaning to watch the whole series in Japanese, but never got around to it.[/b]

I've never seen it in Japanese. I was fine with the ADV staff.
