Just a short story that's based on my rp character and her bros intitled Payne's Betrayal (I suck at titles)
“Aaron, we’ve discussed this already! It is neither your place nor my place to dictate here future!”
“I know Payne but she’s my sister! Our sister! We can’t just sit back and do nothing!”
Payne began to dress himself in a sky blue poet’s shirt as he turn around to face Aaron.
“Look, she’s dangerous! We can’t allow her to roam free! Who knows what she’ll destroy next!”
Aaron slammed his hand against the dresser draw in protest.
“She’s not some damn animal to be tamed or controlled! You can’t let father and the elders do this to her!”
Aaron blocked the doorway as Payne proceeded to the exit.
“Look! I know what the elders are doing is wrong but it’s not my place to challenge them.”
“Look!” Aaron voice started to tremble as it began to crescendo. “She’s only a little girl! You’re the only one who’s gone through the Rights Ceremony. You’re the only one who can save her!”
“I’m not going to challenge them! As a matter of fact she deserves what they’re going to do to her!”
Aaron released a piteous unconscious gasp. His voice suddenly became hushed.
“How could you say such a thing? No human can survive anything of the liking of what the elders are going to do to her! She won’t survive! And if she does she’ll most likely end up broken! Payne, have a heart!”
Payne twisted his face into a grotesque angry expression. His foolhardy little brother allowed himself to be blinded by his emotions and this enraged him.
“Listen to me…”
“No! You listen to me Aaron,” Payne was now shouting at the top of his lungs breathing heavily. “You know as fully well as I do, that girl is a hazard to us all! It is time for you to discard your foolish childhood fantasies and start behaving like a man!”
“A man? A man,” Aaron shouted. “Is that what you call your act? Being a man?”
Payne pulled a dagger from his pocket and pointed it at Aaron’s neck.
“Just because you choose to be ignorant doesn’t mean we all would. Sorami isn’t human! And until you see that you’ll always be the family’s little ass! Constantly embarrassing father!”
Payne stared into Aaron’s eyes threateningly as he whispered.
“Now move out of my way before I kill you.”
Aaron slipped out the way with his face set in disappointment he knew Payne long enough to know he wasn’t kidding.
As Payne left the room he sensed something, telling him to look down. A girl about the age of four with waist length silvery hair and bulging watery amethyst eyes was gaping at him with balls of water rolling down her cheeks.
“Payne…,” she cried.
Payne’s cold faded eyes meet Sorami’s shortly. He grunted in disapproval and walked away.
Sorami ran off almost too blinded by her tears to see clearly in the dim torch lights.
“Sorami!”
She heard a voice calling her but she never stop until she was in the comfort of her room.
