This really comes down to the morality of people. What is 'evil' to one person may not be for others. I think it depends on how you've been brought up and what you believe in.

What Sleigh said. "Good" can be anything (concepts such as "holy justice" tied to massacres, genocide, opposing racism and ignorance) based on one viewpoint of the person. On the flipside, "Evil" can be defined by the same person as anything standing in their way of acting out upon these goals and ideas.
In reality, I would say most people would believe themselves to be good the majority of the time, save for maybe someone who finds pleasure in branding themselves as evil (serial killers). There is no definite answer to this, as they are nothing more than concepts.

Alas I don't think people can be all good or all bad. You got to have it balanced out. Even serial killers got to have some good and good pure sweet people got to have some bad.

it's all relative and based on ones believes and culture. no one believes themselves to be evil.

and yet everyone has a spit of evil inside of them. what is evil? is it the selfishness we have that would go extremely far to succumb our needs?

[glow=red,2,300] It doesn't even have to be that.
Just because some people succumb to their needs before others doesn't mean it's neccessarily evil. Just because those that say they follow a true and holy path say it's evil I feel are just making excuses. [/glow]

i would call few things evil myself. for me to try and think of thing as good or bad, white or black is a waste of time. for the most part the world is gray, neutral. it's all a matter of perspective.

There is no such thing as good and evil. Only power! And those too weak to seek it!- Voldemort: Harry Potter

It all depends on what your perspective is on good and evil, most ppl believed Hitler to be evil while others might have said he was jus followin his beliefs which in fact he was, dont get me wrong i am in no way supportin wat Hitler did, jus drawing reference.
If i saved a butterfly caught in a spider web by killin the spider does that make me Evil or Good?? (reference taken from Trigun, one of the first episodes)
I saved a life but took one in the process, so as acapollo stated the world is too gray, those words simply cannot be defined by man.

Outside of the realm that is subjective reality of which we are enthralled -- there is no such thing as "good" nor is there "evil".
Make a personal definition of it, that´s far easier, and in truth -- the only correct method to apply regarding this topic.

[glow=red,2,300] ^ You seem to be quite neutral. :l
I think we should judge things by law and chaos.
I feel that is better towards alignments. [/glow]
